Arnotts beauty hall is due to re-open very shortly indeed and that's great news for beauty buffs. Better again is the fact that new ranges will be arriving on counter too, and we brought you news of the imminent arrival of Swedish brand Make Up Store a week or so ago.

On the posh skincare end of things, kaplanMD will also be taking up residence. In the US, it's stocked at high-end locations like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Fred Segal, so this is a bit of a coup for Arnotts. Celebs love it - Sienna Miller, Emmy Rossum and Kristin Davis are all down as fans.

So, what's the ethos? Aiming to battle the issues wreaked on skin by natural hormonal progression, kaplanMD is based on a 10-3-1 Concept: 10 active ingredients per product, to prevent and treat all three types of skin aging, in one concise and synergistic line. It's described as a "balanced diet" for the skin.

Sounds interesting - and I'm looking forward to checking it out for myself when the line lands.
