  • Celebrities Most Requested Procedures Before Award Shows

    February 18, 2019 2 min read

With the Academy Awards on the horizon we're anticipating droves of gorgeous people walking down the iconic red carpet with flawless skin! But have you ever wondered how celebrities prep their skin prior to an award show? Besides using a consistent skin care regimen, working out regularly and eating healthy there are four common cosmetic procedures Dr. Kaplan sees the most during award season. We have got the inside scoop from Dr. Kaplan, and have rounded up the most popular pre-red carpet celebrity treatments!

    1) Botox

Botox is one of the most common pre-awards show procedures. Botox is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the underlying muscles. You can mimic the effects of Botox with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, which volumizes fine lines and wrinkles by drawing moisture into the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid can be found in the Cellular Rejuvenating Concentrate

    2) Sculptra Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is a type of facial injectable made from poly-L-lactic acid, which helps to replace lost collagen. It helps correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds that appear with aging by replacing lost collagen.

Sculptra is used to improve the appearance of nose-to-lip wrinkles, horizontal chin wrinkles and so-called marionette lines that frame lips. Celebrities also use it for volumizing (re-plumping) the cheeks and hollows at the temples. You can replace lost collagen with ingredients like Matrixyl Synthe'6, a patented peptide that stimulates all 6 types of collagen synthesis,

Matrixyl Synthe'6 can be found in the Night Replenishment Concentrate

    3) Kybella injections

Kybella injections are a non-surgical injectable for eliminating the fat around the jowls for a more chiseled, sculpted jawline. The injection contains a naturally occurring molecule which dissolves fat. When injected properly, all other cells are left healthy and intact. You can firm and lift the skin on your jawline with topical products using ingredients like Sesame Seed extract and Xerophyte Sage, which visibly firm, tighten and lift the skin.

Sesame Seed Extract & Xerophyte Sage can be found in the Neck Sculpting Serum

    3) Lip Fillers

Temporary lip fillers are typically Hyaluronic Acid based fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is found in every cell of your body that keeps your cells plump and hydrated.Hyaluronic Acid holds 1000 times its weight in water, so they are like tiny water balloons. When injected, this substance produces instant volume for a smooth, full lip contour. Get a fuller pout at home with Hyaluronic Acid and Papaya Enzymes to naturally plump the lip contour while sloughing off dry, flaky skin.

High & Low Weight Hyaluronic Acid can be found in the Perfect Pout Lip Mask.
